The Mission
The traditional way of donating to charitable causes can be difficult, inaccessible, and not very impactful. In many cases, people may want to help, but they do not know where to start, or they feel like their small contribution will not make a difference. Additionally, the process of finding a reputable charity and making a donation can be time-consuming and complicated.
The Outcome
KindHeart solves these problems by providing an easy-to-use app that connects people with a wide range of charities. With just a few taps, users can browse a curated list of causes, read about the organisations and the work they do, and make a donation directly from their phone. KindHeart makes it easy for anyone to give, no matter how big or small the donation may be, and it provides a simple and efficient way for people to have a positive impact on the world. By bringing charity donations into the future, KindHeart is helping to create a kinder, more generous world for us all.

Discover Stage
The discovery stage involved researching the current landscape of charity and philanthropy. We conducted surveys, interviews, and focus groups with potential users to gain a deeper understanding of their pain points, motivations, and expectations for a charity app. We also conducted a thorough analysis of existing charity and philanthropy apps to understand their strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.

Define Stage
The target audience was identified as individuals who are passionate about giving back and making a difference, but find the traditional charity process to be cumbersome, confusing, and ineffective. The app was designed to be user-friendly, accessible, and impactful, addressing common pain points of the traditional charity process and making giving back a more convenient and fulfilling experience. Key features that were included in the design process were a simplified and secure donation process, transparent information on different charities and their causes, personalised recommendations tailored to the user's preferences and past donations, and the ability to track the impact of their contributions.

Develop Stage
The development phase aimed to bring the design concepts to life and involved creating wireframes and prototypes to test user flows and ensure a user-friendly app. The visual design focused on creating a clean and simple interface that was easy to navigate, and user testing was conducted to gather feedback and make necessary modifications. Based on this feedback, the design and user flows were iterated until the app was refined and ready for release, with a focus on accessibility and security throughout the process.

Deliver Stage
The KindHeart prototype was delivered for testing and feedback. Feedback received was overwhelmingly positive, with users praising the ease of use, accessibility, and impactful donation process. Based on the feedback, final adjustments were made to the mock-up. Although the app was only a prototype at this stage, it showed great promise as a user-friendly and accessible solution for those looking to make a positive impact on the world through charitable giving.
